Luka Crosszeria is a character from “Betrayal Knows My Name” (裏切りは僕の名前を知っている)

a manga written by Odagiri Hotaru, there is also an anime adaption consisting of 24 episodes.

SYNOPSIS

Betrayal Knows Thy Name is about the story of Sakurai Yuki  a teenager with a mysterious power.Yuki was abandoned at birth near Asahi orphanage. As he grows older he begins to strive for independence.   Ever since he can remember though, he has had the  ability to feel others emotions whenever he has physical contact with them. Unable to control it, he’s often made insensitive blunders in the past. Later  on he meets a mysterious yet beautiful stranger who saves his life (See Photo) , but for some reason he feels like he’s met him before. While death looms and his ability gets stronger and stronger, a man who claims to be Yuki’s older brother suddenly appears. What will Yuki do when he learns the truth?

APPEARANCE

Luca has medium length black hair, and silver eyes. He has a small skull shaped piece on his left ear which allows him to call on his main form of weapon a black sword. He often dresses in a black coat  trench coat and dark clothing. He also sports a black cross around his neck.

BACKGROUND

Luka’s age is unknown. He is of Duras race (Demon)

The manga suggests a bit of a darker history. Luka is considered a slave because he belonged to the Crosszeria clan (also known as the “Clan of the Traitor”), and that all the other Duras were intent on punishing the whole family and all its descendants. The demon king owned Luka, and as a symbol of this, he formed a permanent covenant by putting his own blood into Luka’s Brand Zess. The demon king’s blood made the mark on Luka’s arm glow red. Years later, Luka is still haunted by the memory and feels physically ill when recalling it. Because it was a covenant, if Luka should ever betray the demon king, he would die.
